Jeff Boyce – Owner
Jeff Boyce is the heart and soul of Boyce Kitchen & Bath, which began nearly 20 years ago. He began his career installing windows in high-rise
buildings in San Diego. After that, Jeff applied for his general contractor’s
license and opened Boyce Kitchen & Bath. Jeff’s commitment to his
clients and making their dreams come true is unmatched. He works side-by-side
with them to ensure that every detail of a client’s renovation is attained.

Elaine Barnes – Office Manager
As the heartbeat of Boyce Kitchen and Bath, Elaine keeps everything at the company’s La Mesa headquarters running smoothly and efficiently. With her nearly 10 years of industry experience, Elaine has adopted the work philosophy: “to do the job right.” And doing the job right is something her co-workers have mastered – people that she says are her daily inspiration.
One of Boyce Kitchen and Bath’s top priorities is excellent customer service. In her two years with the company, Elaine has witnessed how committed BKB is to ensuring their clients’ happiness and satisfaction on each project, and she carries out that exact attitude in her own work.
Elaine has called San Diego home for 20 years, coming to the beautiful Southern California city from the Philippines. When not hard at work, she has many activities and hobbies that keep her busy, including football, baseball, bowling and shopping.
Jack Tuttle – Estimator/Designer
Jack believes in making the most out of each day and always learning something new. And, it’s that desire to strive for the best everyday that satisfies the clients of Boyce Kitchen and Bath.
Jack has been a part of the accomplished BKB team for three years as an estimator and design tech and gained his solid experience from 34 years in the industry. Jack draws his inspiration from putting a smile on the faces of BKB’s clients and ensuring their complete satisfaction at the end of each project. That is easily attained at Boyce Kitchen and Bath, because as Jack notes, BKB doesn’t miss any details during a design/build project, which leads to their high rate of success.
Jack was born in La Mesa and has remained in San Diego County to this day. He enjoys photography, design and building and music – particularly the guitar. His other passions include hiking and camping.
Russ Gilbert – Estimator/Designer
Russ believes the key to cultivating successful client relationships is to “treat others the way you want to be treated.” And, Russ says that is something easy to do at Boyce Kitchen and Bath, because BKB truly cares about their customers and about maintaining long-term, working relationships with them. Russ maximizes his 12 years of field experience on each project with Boyce Kitchen and Bath, where he’s been now for more than six years.
Russ' number one hobby is sports, a hobby easy to pursue in San Diego, where he was born and raised.
Jose Soto – Field Installer
Jose is one person who can say, without question, that he loves what he does. He entered the home remodeling industry 12 years ago and now has found a home with Boyce Kitchen and Bath, which is where he has been for the last three years as a Field Installer. Jose specializes in all aspects of construction, including plumbing, drywall and painting. He believes BKB is a stand out among its competitors with a team second to none. The Boyce Kitchen and Bath standard of excellence is right in line with Jose’s number one work philosophy: “do the job right.”
Jose was born and raised in San Diego and takes full advantage of all that American’s Finest City has to offer. He loves spending his free time outdoors, enjoying activities from the beach to the desert.
Jim Check – Cabinet Installer
Giving his clients the very best on a daily basis is not only Jim’s work philosophy, it’s also an attitude reinforced on every project by Boyce Kitchen and Bath. As a BKB cabinet installer and technician for the past five years, Jim has more than 20 years of industry experience and his C-6 Contractors license.
Jim says happy clients and the satisfaction of a job well done is his true motivation – motivation that is easily attained with BKB’s attention to detail and high employee standards, which are two traits that set BKB apart from its competitors, according to Jim.
Jim has lived in San Diego since 1994 and hails from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania – the home of the World Champion Steelers and Penguins. In his free time, Jim loves golf, racquetball and cooking.
Ernie Yorba – Cabinet Installer
Ernie draws his inspiration directly from the clients of Boyce Kitchen and Bath. He says their satisfaction from a project well done is his driving force. Ernie has nearly 20 years of industry experience and joined the top-notch team at Boyce Kitchen and Bath seven years ago.
As a born and raised San Diegan, Ernie believes in living life to the fullest and does just that, making sure he always has time for his favorite hobbies, such as welding, smoking his own meat and diving.
